About
One of the major selling points of many budget 1980s micros was the ability to use a standard TV set as a display. This was useful as it allowed a more budget conscious enthusiast to re-used display equipment that they already owned and allowed a space constrained person - such as teen in their bedroom - to have a single dual purpose device rather than two bulky devices taking up what limited space they possessed.
