Tomorrow's technology —today!
‘It is not unreasonable to assume that within
the next five years...there will be hardly
any companies engaged inelectronics that
are not using microprocessors in one area
oranother.”
Phil Pittman, Wireless World, Nov. 1977
The low-cost computing power of the
microprocessor is already being used to
replace other forms of digital, analogue,
electro-mechanical, even purely mechanical
forms of control systems.
