Retrospect 3.0 was a Mac focused client-server backup utility by Dantz Development. A Mac-hosted server element was able to backup across the network from a number of client Mac and Windows instances to a tape, cartridge, or local drive. Retrospect 3.0 had a list price of 249USD and the Retrospect 3.0 Client pack had a list price of 449USD. A positive review of Retrospect 3.0 featured in April 1996’s MacUser magazine.
