Taken from UK TV during the summer of 1997, this Microsoft advert was created during the peak of its anticompetitive ‘kill Netscape’ phase. While this advert merely attempts to cement the link between the internet and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Microsoft was also engaged in various anticompetitive activities around which browsers OEMs could - or could not - install alongside Windows 95.
