Advertising link buttons for PKZIP circa January 1997.
In the early days of the internet personal sites would often advertise what software the user did or - in some cases - did not use and then provide a link back to the homepage of the product in question. Some companies like - PKZIP - would provide pre-made link images to facilitate this as a form of low cost advertising and mindshare expansion.
This set of three buttons and a banner were typical of the kind of images provided.
