The Merritt FASTRACK! is fairly prototypical of the plastic-tat accessory ecosystem that grew up around early personal computers. Items like this were bought - often with the best of intentions - for offices home and away where they would be used for a few days (or even a few hours!) before a user’s disks returned to an unsorted pile on the desk.
